CHAPTER : 4 

SUMMARY

On reach the camp, Leila was dead tired because of the jet lag caused by the long flight, and the altitude. Dr Hafez was going to Quenco for a meeting with the UNESCO representatives. The UNESCO supports the project till the end of the year and they had to find something important to continue the support for the next year.Amalia showed Leila the site. She wasn’t friendly as she said Leila came to Peru only because Dr Hafez was a friend of her family. Leila assured her that she came because of her experience.The site was on top of a hill. Amalia said they were about to have a great discovery as thy found an entrance hall where the priests carried out their rituals. Ramon, one of the workers, shouted when he found a gold figure of a child. He explained that the Incas used to sacrifice children to please the Gods.Tying a rope round Ramon’s waist, Dr Hafez let him through a hole they had made in the wall. At the bottom, Ramon found some human bones and bits of pottery.Leila sent an e-mail to Samira. She told her about the adventures of that day and about Amalia who wasn’t very friendly to her.
